A vision, a goal, a message, a movement.

I am an advocacy and communications strategist with 13+ years of experience in international organizations.

My expertise is in translating broad objectives into strategic goals, and translating complex, technical topics into accessible, relatable content.

All for the purpose of building a better world.

My skills

  • I relish the challenge of building a new strategy from scratch. Most of my experience is in building advocacy and influence strategies, where I follow a systematic process to help bring structure to a complex exercise with many moving parts and stakeholders.

  • I have cultivated and nurtured partnerships with a range of individuals and organizations to help achieve our shared goals — from museums, to academic institutions, civil society groups to corporations. In addition to harnessing the power of partnerships to make an impact on a larger scale, I place deep value in human relationships and believe connections rooted in mutual respect are paramount to driving sustainable change.

  • Writing and editing are two skills I’ve used the most across the span of my career. I’ve worked across platforms and formats to transform specialized knowledge into compelling stories, op-eds, speeches, and thought leadership content.

  • A wise project manager once told me that 90% of the pain is in pre-production. I took his words to heart and now approach all major new projects with a solid plan and schedule, defined roles and deliverables, and of course a Gantt chart. Aside from the 90% rule, I believe empathy for all team members is the secret ingredient to a great project manager.

  • I have extensive experience working across communications, advocacy and partnerships teams to conceptualize and deliver creative campaigns. Here are a few examples.

  • I have been building and maintaining websites since learning HTML in the seventh grade. I have extensive professional experience in website launches/re-launches, web production, content management systems, taxonomy, metadata and web architecture.

My values

I find meaning — and define success — in my career by using a systematic approach to my work and a collaborative approach with my colleagues. I believe in setting achievable, time-bound goals that can be tracked and measured, while building trust with teammates and partners to reach these goals.

To me, a positive work environment is equally as important as concrete results.
